The Fisherman's Son

Hey everyone so I've been working on a Fairytale called the Fisherman Son which is a Brazilian based tale. The story is filled of short adventures the son goes through once he was traded by his dad to the river spirit. I focused on the ending where the boy escapes and end up at a kingdom and falls in love. Everyone loves a good love story.


The most important part of this assignment for me was the gathering of reference I made huge collages of all things brazil. I wanted to capture colors, culture and vibrance of Brazil.

The style I went for was folkart combine with paper cut. These pieces were very fun to work on and the color palette was a challenge but I loved it.

Forest Friends Update

Progress of my greeting card set

This includes thumbnail stage to color ruffs and for this project I decided to make my own rubber stamps. Also with this card I was printing on paper bag paper so test prints where a must. 

These were my two final pieces for the Note Card Set. 

Stamps I made and designed for the envelopes. 

The Final Presentation a Note card set ready for sale. 8 cards, 8 envelopes included in the set as well as a nifty box to put them in.

Mother's Day

Greeting Cards are a huge joy of mines so I want to create a greeting card for every occasion possible. Since mother day is coming up I design 2 card designs.

Sketches 

Original of my card was done in gouache on vellum Bristol paper. Final of one card design printed on white card stock. Its embellished with little gems which add that cute pop to them and of course I can't forget the glitter pen. 

Forest Friends Greeting Cards

A set of greeting cards I'm working on. The theme is Forest Friends with elements of foral and pattern designs. This is a ruff of colors and paper it will be printed on.
